Programme:

United's leading goalscorer, Scotsman Hughie Baird, was soon on the mark as Leeds took an early lead in the fourth minute of their friendly match with Scottish side Raith Rovers, but were then unable to add to their tally until two minutes into the second half when another Scotsman, wee Georgie Meek, doubled their lead. After that Leeds completely dominated and Hughie Baird got his second, and United's third, eight minutes later as the Leeds Scotsmen found scoring easy against their fellow-countrymen. But Irish International, Noel Peyton, was also in the act on the hour mark as he made it four, before Leeds went nap and Englishman Peter McConnell completed the scoring seven minutes later, as United ran out easy winners. (Thanks to Steve Bell for the Raith Rovers team and scoring details.)
